Tour overview
Tirupati is one of India's most significant pilgrimage destinations, home to the Sri Venkateswara Temple atop Tirumala Hills in Andhra Pradesh. This ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara (a form of Vishnu), draws millions of devotees annually, making it one of the world's most visited religious sites and the richest temple in India.
The majestic temple complex, with its distinctive Dravidian architecture and gold-plated vimana (tower), sits at an elevation of 853 meters surrounded by seven hills believed to represent the seven hoods of Adisesha, the celestial serpent. Pilgrims traditionally trek the 3,550 steps to reach the shrine, though modern facilities now offer alternative means of ascent.
